A/c hose length

Does a/c hose length effect the performance of a/c system? I’m making custom lines and routing them so they are seen as little as possible which is adding length. Thank you.

The amount of extra length between "out in the open" and "hidden" is insignificant. The aftermarket a/c companies know people do this and build their systems accordingly. Hide away.

Yes! The only time we have had to adjust the amount of Freon is when we installed a dual VA setup in a Surburban. Otherwise, hose length doesn’t matter.
