      Pan is officially notched

And after a few tries, it doesn’t leak!

I welded AN bungs into the oil pan for the turbo oil return. while I was at it, I made some AN fitting adapters for the heater hoses. My plan is to run the heater hoses under the intake manifold. I am also not going to run an expansion tank so there are a couple more hoses I could get rid of.

Engine fits in. Now, how in the world do I fit in turbos and all the associated piping? I may have to cut out most or all of my inner fenders to make room. I don’t want to but it’s not that big of an issue. I discovered that my stock wiper motor won’t work either because it hits the roll cage under the dash.

      Anyone regret having no wipers?

Started mocking up the turbos. A long way to go but it feels like progress.

I’m making some progress on the turbo piping. There’s not much room to work with so I am going to have to get creative with the pie cuts.

Turbos are mounted. At this point, they will spin if I fire up the engine. I know roughly where the exhaust will run but I can’t run the intercooler that came with the engine. It’s just much too big to cram in there. Name: IMG_4123.jpg

I have to step back and see if I am making progress. I’d get constraints have slowed it down a little but things are still getting done.

I don’t think I can make this intercooler fit. It is too big for the space I have up front. I may cut out the front frame crossmember to make room. I don’t necessarily need it for strength anymore since I welded in the massive K member. Maybe I’ll mount the radiator and intercooler and then put some kind of cross brace back in.

Ok, the engine is back out sitting in the floor and it’s time to make the underside look better.

I built some of these nifty 2x4 risers and took it off the rotisserie probably for the last time. I’m done with the underside so no need to rotate it anymore.

No sense storing the rear end in the shop floor anymore since I am done underneath.
