69 camaro subframe install.

This is my first post on the site. Im building a pro touring 69 camaro. I need to install my subframe and i have a issue. Before i took it out i installed hotchkis subframe connectors. Those connectors cover up the factory hole in the frame rail that you use to measure to square up your subframe. So now i need a new spot to measure from. Its 100% my fault that i didn't double check the measurements prior to taking it out. I never even thought about it. So what about screwing a long bolt up into the spring pocket mounting hole thats in the frame rails? Then measuring from that to maybe the lower ball joint grease fitting on my ridetech control arms. Would that work? I dont know what that would need to measure though???
Or just make sure its sqaure from that and not really go for a number. I have it close now i think, the measurements from my frame to pinch weld are 5 inches on each side at the front of car and 4 7/8 on each side at the rear of frame rails. Which in my mind would be square right?
Any ideas would be helpful.

On the second subframe bushing mount there is a small hole that is to be used as an subframe alignment guide. There is a corresponding hole on the body. You are supposed to get these two sets of holes in alignment with a 0.610 pin shoved through both holes. I think I use a long socket.

That will get you close but it could still be way off right?

The first drawing above will definitely get you in the ballpark. You might need to shift it around to get it spot on before you tighten it down. I messed up on mine originally and couldn't get my hood to close. Cracked them loose and realized I couldn't read a tape measure that day apparently .

Here's another one for you to help dial it in. F, F1, G, and G1 should help get you more squared up.:



From there, you should be able to play around with shimming the fenders/panels to get everything else dialed in.
