      welder

I am looking at getting a small mig welder. I will use it for things like floor pans, patch panels and such.

      Light welding needs.

What do you think of this one?

Or recommend another at a similer price.

Not a bad unit for that price- especially with the cart. I had a DaytonaMig 125 a while back that was similar, and it was fine for doing panel work. You've just got to realize that you'll be limited by the duty cycle if you ever want to do any welding on thick materials- but if all you ever anticipate doing is sheetmetal, it should work out just fine.

I think you could get into one of these for under $500. (plus a tank)

A good friend of ours has run miles of wire through theirs with no problems.

I'm know Miller has a comparable 110V Mig also.

Just for fun, I've always built the cart for my welders (Mig, Tig) with the welder that the cart is intended for. It just seemed fitting to me that the welder build its own cart? Maybe I'm weird?

We've had really good luck with Lincoln. We have the PRO-MIG 175 and a Precision TIG 175. My dad's shop uses Miller and have had really good luck with them also.
