      Ordered my wheels!

Ordered my new wheels today. A little on the heavy side, but a great looking wheel for the money.

I ordered them from www.discounttiredirect.com. 17x9 all around with 5" backspacing. Tires will be Falken ZE-512's. 255/40/17 upfront and 275/40/17 rear. The 5" backspacing isn't ideal for the rear, so I'll play with some quarter inch spacers to get the wheel/tire as far outboard as I can.

I'm a big fan of those wheels , even if they do say hotwheels on them ...I am leaning towards getting a set for my 55 , and having the centers powdercoated grey..

Nice choice. That should look good on your car. Be sure to post pics when you get them installed.

As for the rear backspace, it should be fine. Normally the backspace should be about 5.5" though, so you should be outboard enough as it is. No spacers needed. You may want to check if you have to roll the fender lip though.

yea, that's the downside. The rep told me it would be 1 to 3 months. That gives me time to install the PST poly front end kit though.

Allen, thanks for the heads up. I wasn't sure if the 5" b/s would be okay. Nice to know I MIGHT not have to anything other than bolt them on.

Anyone have any pics of these wheels mounted on other rides ? I am really leanign towards them , mainly due to the great price, and overall clean look....

Those are pretty nice looking. Are you serious? Do they actually say "Hot Wheels" on them?

      That's kinda rad.

They are "Hot Wheels" brand , manf. by KMC. Have the HW logo on the center caps.
Not the lightest, or "trickest" out their , but not everyone, including myself , has $2500+ for a set of
      wheels.

Looking forward to seeing some other cars with these wheels on them....
