1354438[/URL]]I heard Aaron Lewis the first time and he is NOT the only one !
You Americans have brought us the freedom in Europe years ago,
and now a lot of stupid people want to take this away from us, the normal people. They want to make us poor and quiet...
Unfortunately you have now the same problem like we overhere...

Thank you very much for this songwriter !

Amen brother!

I was working on the the garden and some of the turbo parts I ordered showed up! The inner cooler and the 3” stainless to finish the exhaust with. Still waiting on the 2.5” stainless for the cold side.

Very cool............I have really been jonesing for a turbo build

LOL! Me Too
My son has done a couple ls swap turbo mustangs now > I kinda got the bug from him.
The motor is stock 2004 truck 5.3 so it should drive like a normal car until you hit the go peddle harder. I'm hoping for 500 to the tires after tune and be a dependable everyday driver.

LOL! I here that!

Little more work on the floor pans/transmission tunnel.
Everything is fitted and tech screwed in place [ATTACH=CONFIG]186430[/ATTACH. It ant pretty but very functional.

[David Sloan]

Small update. I revisited the exhaust from the turbo to the rear yesterday, I got the passenger side tacked welded for fitment . The plan is for it to exit the bumper, I want to do cut outs in the bumper for the exhaust tips. I had to do a little notching on the body mount to get the 1/4” clearance I wanted. So far so good

[David Sloan]

Expansion joint fitted and tack welded in to the exhaust side of the turbo.

[David Sloan]

Now that the floors are welded in I could finish the mounting of the seats. The rear of the 4 gen Camaro seats had about a 20% angle from my flat bottom floors. So to fix this problem I cut both sides off mounted the seats in loosely. Then I a-lined the cut off pcs. with the tracks then tack welded them together. Then I checked to make sure they still work properly.

[David Sloan]

Not a lot right now! Weather is good so I have been working on the house!
I did start some cleanup on the firewall and floors

Making solid progress. That turbo will make all kinds of noises by your head...LOL

How are you handling the oil drain back? It looks like a pretty long, arduous path back to the oil pan.

Andrew

[Ron S]

Good thing it has turbo power, because it seems to be like everything I build........very fond of gravity.

I’m hoping with the turbo mounted as high as it is and a big return line that gravity will send it back . If that doesn’t work then plan b is a scavenger pump.
I will probably get tired of hearing the turbo but it will be fun in the beginning 😂

Lol ! Yep the old girl picked up some weight 🤣

Haven’t had much time to work on the Elcamino, weather got better so housework had to be done!
Started getting my head back in the car this weekend.
Got the waste gates mocked up. Going to start figuring out the the cold side tomorrow.

[David Sloan]

Yep pee! House work is done for a while!
So while I was missing the pro-tourin form , I was still thinking about the Elcamino.
Then this happened. I sold my upgraded t56 Camaro transmission an bought a upgraded t56 magnum with quick time bell housing. Also got a twin dics 1000 hp clutch billet fly wheel.
Should be overkill for the 500 hp to the tire I’m shooting for.

[David Sloan]

It’s been a minute since updated this so I will try to fill you in!
I have been waiting on quarter panels for months!
Got the drive side, still waiting on the passenger side. In the process of trying to find parts I was offered another 70 Elcamino for a really good price so I bought it! Lol
Right like I need another project!
Anyway I’m still waiting on a passenger side quarter panel and put the car on hold!
Thanks for looking!
God willing we will be back!

[David Sloan]

Back to work on this one!
Finishing up on the exhaust. Got the exhaust all mocked up everything looks good so now we start talking it apart for finish welding.

[David Sloan]

Parking brakes, what I thought was going to be easy turned in to some head scratching. Lol!
I had to weld a couple nuts on the bottom control arm brackets and reverse one of the bolts for the ebrakes in order to be able to service the ebrake later.
