      Bowtie block ques.

I am looking at the block p/n 10185047 for my FI buildup and need to know if I can use all of my existing parts on it.
The guys at the dealerships (sdpc, pace etc.) only read the catalog to me which does not help.
Can I still use the factory style hyd roller cam, lifters, spyder and retainer?
Does anyone have some experience with these 1pc seal Bowtie blocks?
      Please help, Steve

      No you can't

You can use the cam again with a thrust plate.

The problem with the lifters and the retainers and spyder is that there is no way to mount them. Plus you have to machine one side of the bowtie block lifter bores down some because of core shift and one side is higher than the other and it will cause issues with a tie bar style lifter.

BTW If you are going to a type bar hyd roller lifter the Morel lifters are a nice piece for that.
