      75-79 x-body pic request

I have read about a few people out there building them. Just wondering if anyone wants to share their progress or some they may have shots of. I will try to figure out how to post mine on here in the next few days. Not much to look at yet.

      Hi there!

Not many 4th gen X-bodies around, but apparently some made the journey over the Atlantic to Europe:

A friend of mine has a '75 Nova project car. It's got 30.500miles on it, and the last owner was not suprisingly an old man...

Some pic's and info here: V8power.net His name is Jarle, and mine is Christian. I appologize for the weird english, but you can guess why it's like that

      Enjoy your Nova!
      Thanks, Christian (@v8power.net)

Sorry it took me a while to reply. What I did with my cage was pretty simple. I got a competition engineering main hoop (Summit $40) and and ran two pieces of 1 3/4" tubing to the back. Since the rear frame rails are thin stamped steel I made these triangulated boxes for them to weld to. I tell you on thing-It definitely stiffened the car up. You can put a bend in your rear bars to follow the contour of the roof, but I just ran mine straight through the seat area. I have all kind of info that might interest you about these cars. Just PM if you get a chance, I'd like to hear some of your ideas.

      re: 75-79 x-body pic request

I own the 77 Nova Rally that Dan H posted. I'll do my noobie post soon...

No cages in my car, but plenty of simple mods. I hope to hear about some other people that are autocrossing or open track racing 75-79 Novas.

Dan's pic of my car is a nice shot. Other stuff is at http://home.columbus.rr.com/richlish...s/mainnova.htm

I haven't updated the site much since the second kid came around.
