Hello from Colorado

Hello, I'm John Hudson from Colorado. I am a life long gear head, drag racer and a retired Army Maintenance Technician and a Pontiac addict. I've been drag racing a 78 Trans Am since 93 and I bought this red 81 T/A back in 2009 as a retirement present to myself. I originally built it more as a street strip car but I have been slowly evolving the car to a all around performer. Last week I took it out for my first ever attempt at Time Attack. Though I certainly felt totally out of my element, I really had a great time and wish to learn more about this style of racing and motorsports as a whole. A lot of what I have already done to the car for street/strip action will transfer well like the subframe connectors, solid body mounts, heavy duty PTFB shackles and the Edelbrock shocks on all four corners (for now), I also learned that old school SSM traction bars need to go. I'm looking forward to being here and thanks for having me.
