      2001 Mustang daily driver

Last week, me and my dad finally had the time to work on my car. We got up early and went to the garage, where we first rolled out his Nova to make space. We then put my car on some jack stands to get the rear wheels off. After disconnecting the shocks from the rear axle, we removed the spring and replaced it with my new Eibach Sportline kit. We then moved on to the front, which was a bit harder than the rear due to the anti sway bar and the shocks being in the way. After getting everything out of the way we could finally replace the front springs. Instead of putting the chrome aftermarket wheels back on, which were rubbing when turning full lock, we put the original wheels back on. They will come off in Spring when I will put on my new wheels. Once I started driving, I immediately felt a difference in handling, just by having the correct size wheels. Now that it is lowered it is also a bit stiffer, so bumps are less comfortable but it looks a lot better.Name: 20181230_082334.jpeg

Your father moved his Camaro out of the way to make space. Not a Nova.

Betting his father moved the Nova out as the Camaro is still in the garage.

Time for full length subframe connectors, caster/camber plates, and good shocks now. Luckily there are tons of parts for these cars.

You can cheaply make a set of through floor subframe connectors.

Now that I finally had some time to spare, me and my dad went to the garage again and test-fitted my new wheels to see if they'd fit and what size tyres would be best. A couple of weeks ago I also bought new headlights and mounted those. They look awesome and give the car a more modern look.Name: 20190317_125221.jpeg

After test fitting my new rims a couple of weeks ago I ordered new tires for them. After they arrived I had them mounted and I was amazed by the width of the rear tires (front: 255/30/19, rear: 295/30/19). After my saturday job I went to the garage to not only mount my new wheels but also replace my brake pads, since they were almost worn out. After some struggling with the brake pads I mounted the wheels and went for a test drive. It is a bit bouncy but I'm very happy with how they look.Name: IMG-20190322-WA0016.jpeg
