New Tires
Hello all.
I am looking at tire sizes for my 73 Firebird. I have Us Mags Rambler 18x9.5 for the Rear, and I wanted to know if a 295/35/18 would fit? Most 295’s call for 10” wheels.Has anyone tried a 295 on a 9.5 wheel? Any input would be great thx...

I have 295 drag radials on a 9.5" rim - they fit fine. Ideally you would want a 10-11" rim, but 9.5" will work.
What is the wheel width range the tire mfg specs for your tire?1971 Camaro - 406 / T56

Not too many choices in my price range. The Nitto Invo is affordable, here are the specs :
295/35ZR18 HT Width Rim Size Measured Rim Tread Depth
99W SL BSW 26.02" 11.54" 10-11.5" 10.5" 10/32"
I know I can do a 285/35/18, but I like more sidewall and still be wide.

I think that may be pushing it a bit for a 35 series tire. I would run a 285 personally.
