      Car renderings

Ok- I just got the final OK'd drawings e-mailed to me yesterday. This project is for my wife who wanted a traditional hot rod that could kick butt through the twisties.

Hot rod flavor, but with our chassis IFS / tri 4-bar rear, AGR rack Wilwood brakes ZZ4 (hopped up a bit) and we will be eventually taking the car to B-ville for their street class.

The WWW and steelies are for cusisin' and the kidney bean wheels and BFG G-force are for goin'. Let me know what you think.

Also, a BIG THANK YOU to Eric Brockmeyer for doing such a great job and turning these out so quick. It's going to be a big surprise on X-mas morning.

      ENJOY!

That Stude just screams Hot Rod,Craig. Back in the 70's,I built a 53 Stude with the complete drivetrain out of a rolled 68 Roadrunner. The interior had four buckets with a full length console w/pushbutton shifter.
It too had painted steelies. Talk about a sleeper. I blew away a lot of musclecars in surrounding towns before the word got out.

Man,I wish I could find another 53 to build.

I like it. Very nice. Looks like a great dual purpose hot rod.

What did Ezekiel and Jebediah think?

Seriously, nice ride and of course, different! People like different, I know.
I questioned the wheel selection, but can not for the life of me come up with anything better. You just do not see any of these, so not much to compare it to. He nailed the stance, should be a sweet ride.
Now, how much hush money for us to keep the secret until Christmas?

So I'm guessing this car is already basically done except paint? Or can you really turn a car that fast?? If so, that's amazing.

The renderings are the surprise, not the finished car. The car is still, um, uh a little ways away from being finished. I am guessing a finish date sometime in early-mid 07. This should be a fairly reasonable time since we are still thrashing on Art's 60 Vette project (looking to debut at Columbus).

      Thanks for the replies!

SWEEEEEEEEETT! I'm a Brockmeyer fan myself. Stuff is always clean!!! Very very cool. I'm diggin' the salt flat wheels myself.

Actually now after staring at the rendering and thinkin' for a second - if you were willing to make the color of the car a really dark blue, like a midnight blue (not metallic) and THEN use the red steelies and stripe - that'd be hot...?

      Just a thought

craig is the car going to have a flat finish or a shiny finish. It is hard to tell in the drawings but looks like the panit has a flat old school sheen to it?????

My wife really digs the suede look. We are going to use a BMW metallic blue with PPG's eggshell clear to give the paint a cool, satin finish. Eric and my friends at the paint shop have all agreed that this blue that we have picked out will really glow with this satin clear. Should look pretty bitchin'.

It's blue, its suede, its a Stude.....its the Blue Suede Stude:icon996:
