Always good to see another nova being built. Your suspension set up sounds very close to what I plan on doing but I will be going with the speedtech control arms and the tru turn. What did you coat the inner fenders with?

Epoxy Primer and then used a 3M undercoating called Dyna-Pro.

Dash Repainted and Expoxy Coated Interior

I was really lucky when I bought the car. Had no rust. California car. Only had 69k original miles. Found in an old ladies garage with sewing equipment in the trunk. Converted from V6 to V8.

      Ridetech Tiger Cage installed

Pretty easy install for this roll cage by ridetech. I went this route because I liked it could be removed easily.

Love the '69 Nova's! The wife wants me to build her a 50's style truck, but been trying to talk her into a Nova instead lol. Good luck with the build
Oh and you might want to check out Spin Tech and run their 9000 super pro streets if you want to keep with the loud theme. Put them in my Camaro and man are they awesome!!!

I had a 61 Chevy Pickup short bed step side for my first car, I the 50's also. I'm kicking myself I don't have it any more. Thank for the tip. I think my wife would kill me if I made it any louder. lol

      Rear Suspension

I think I'm caught up on posting pictures of my progress so far. I wanted to install the rear suspension myself, but with work, finish my degree, and kids I'm going to farm it out to keep progress going on it. Should have it back in a few months with mini-tubs and SpeedTech torque arm installed. Then will be searching for wheels and tires.

My first thought when I saw the stock stamped arms was "bruh-this is Protouring!" then I saw the awseomness. That thing is gonna be super fun and it already looks mean. good luck with the progress, you planning on AutoXing or any local roadcourses?

Probably just plan on running some of the local Auto-X courses after its done for now. I live in the Nor-Cal area so hopefully will try and get out to the Goodguys show and run it eventually. The only thing that will be stock on this car will be the body and the back seat. lol Don't plan on doing any body modifications for now, really just want to make this a nice street driver.

Your friend did a good job on the tubs. Wish I had someone do mine lol. It took me about 40 hours total to do it myself.

As for the stock back seat, check out this link for narrowing your back seat, it wont be stock for long. This is for a camaro but should be very similar. http://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=28606

Yes, he does excellent work. I have been waiting for him to be available for a while. I had planned on doing it myself, but in the middle of finishing school. I will have to check that out. I actually just recovered my backseat a while ago, but that easy enough to redo. I did see a link on another members page on here about doing that as well for a Nova.

      Ride Height

About ready to start looking for some new shoes. I don’t think the old centerlines will pass for pro-touring.
