      Shock Mounting

Does the shock eyes need to be in the same plane as each other? if I could rotate the mounting points 180 deg from each other it would make mounting these shocks so much easier.

Has anyone custom mounted their own shocks? if so how did you do it?

I would want to think it is best to be the same but, I also don't see why it would matter . If you look most aftermarket suspension manufactures always have the top and bottom mounts on the same plane. ????!!

Do the shocks have bearings, rubber, or poly mounts?
Are these coil overs, or just shocks?
      Front or rear?

If bearing, you can mount them perpendicular to each other only if the bearing provides enough articulation through full suspension travel that neither one reaches bind.
If rubber or poly you should mount them in the same plane or they will bind and try to bend the shock shaft.

      Got pictures?

They are Varishock Double Adjustables coilovers with poly bushings. They are going to be mounted on the rear of my ranchero.

I'm looking for a way to mount them using a double sheer, I'm afraid of the single sheer stuff.
