      Light 327 11-1 Forged Pistons?

Finally getting my income squared away and want to get back to my engine build.
Never thought a 327 with 5.7" rods and stock 3.25 stroke would be so hard to find parts for.
The KB pistons I have are too heavy to balance well.
Now looking for some reasonably light forged .040 over pistons WITHOUT paying an arm and both legs for custom parts.
      Looking for around -6.3 dome.
So far all I've found are ICON at about $750 a set with rings, but also 691 gm. with pins.
Trying to get to around 550 gm.
Want to wind it up so a good balance job is essential.
Lots of manufacturers out there but very few who give weights on-line.

      Suggestions?

Have you considered a set of longer light weight rods? As the rod gets longer it moves the wrist pin up and the piston generally becomes lighter. If you use a 6.125" rod the wrist pin height will be about the same as a 350 giving you more selection. If your horsepower goals are modest you can get away with a reasonably light rod and the piston will be lighter too.

Seems every time I work a "Deal" it comers back to bite me later.
Decided I do not want the same build as everyone else and do like to wind up the engine.
      So building a 327.
Got a deal on an eagle crank and rods from another forum member here.
Got another deal on KB Hyper pistons but they are too heavy for the crank and rods.
So far looking like ICON pistons are about all that is available off the shelf but disappointed that they are also over 600 grm.
I will know how light I have to go in the morning but think it was about 550 grm.
If I change out rods as well as pistons the savings from my deals evaporate.
Was supposed to be a budget build.

Looks like I may have my answer, Ross Racing.
"If .220” was removed from the top of part# 147752, resulting volume would be +5.5cc".
That puts me right at the 11-1 I want.
Extra $8.00 each for the modification but still beats the OMG price of $1200.00 custom pistons.
I think we discussed 6" rods and that put me back to searching for pistons again.

Probably looking at some different rods too since it's the rod big-ends that are the root of my issue.
Since any pretense of a "Budget" build is long out the window , I'm looking for a Weber setup too.
Having gone this crazy I may just dry-sump it as well.

OK, so if I am reading correctly I can use ICON pistons with a 6" rod for the same result.
So which are the better pistons, ICON or Ross Racing?
Price difference is very little, the Ross would actually be cheaper except for the cost of modifying the crowns.
I never heard of ICON until recently.
No luck looking for any reviews, all a search brings up are ads from sellers. :
