      T56 input shaft

Looking for an input shaft from an ls style t56 to make into a clutch alignment tool, so the gear can be damaged. If you have anything, let me know please

I'm aware, but the plastic ones aren't very precise, and for the price of an aluminum one I could just use an input shaft.

So I take it this means you don't have one?

Quarter Master sells a very nice, metal, 26 spline clutch alignment tool.

No it’s just using an old input shaft is something people did 40 years ago, the plastic input shafts work great and the are cheap. Never had an issue with one.

Maybe reach out to a rebuilder? Might have something laying around,. You are in NY, maybe rockland, or try bob at Halon motorsports.

Do you need one for the LT or LS series? The LT is a course spline the LS is a fine spline. Don't know the spline count on each right now. I do have one for the LT - t-56 though

A 1-1/8 26 spline input shaft from a Chevy 4 Speed would work too. Unless I’m thinking of something else, the LT engines use the same TR6060 with a 26 spline input shaft. The 26 spline shaft dimensions hasnt changed in decades.

Thank you, I know the t5 inputs are the same as the t56 and tr6060. I'll find something eventually.
