8.5 inch wheel is to narrow for that size of tire, The 295-40-20 BFG KDW has a section width of 12" on a 10.5" wheel

I was just talking to a buddy of mine that works at a tire shop that suggested a 275-45-20. He also said that the 295 would probably be pushing it on the width.

      You sure a 275/45/20 isn't pushing it, height-wise? That's a pretty tall tire.

IMO, that is too tall, unless you are going for that raked look.

Chris, I think the max you can go on the 8.5 would be 275/40/20. You would need a 10 for the 295. I like the look of the car you posted. are they 295s?
I'm running the 295s on my car with a 20x10.

      Hey Tim,

Those are 295's and thats the look I want. The width is not so much a factor for me as the sidewall. So I am going to try a set of 275/45/20. I dont think they will rub and the only people that ride in the back are my 2 girls.

That is what you get when you morph the 80s stinkbug look with pro-touring I guess. As usual I agree with you Andrew.

Doesn't look too bad to me, but that's just me. To each his own.

ZYAL8R, If I remember correctly, that car has a mini-tub. It'll be a REALLY tight fit with those size tires. If you know anyone with that size, see if they can mock them in the wheel well for you.
