      68 Camaro

Well i figured i would just post all the body work im doing on my car here so more people can see it and hopefully help some with their projects.

anyways got some time to work on the rear drop off today. Bent up the panels, rolled some beads, and tacked them together. It still needs some more work in the center area but this is pretty much what it will look like. Too bad its under the car and half covered up lol.

did a little bit of work on the battery boxes which wont end up being *flush monted* but will atleast be recessed a good bit. Built a mock up steel box just to set in and see where it fits. I am thinking about encasing the whole deal in some sheetmetal like the cardboard mock up and having it flush with the bottom of the quarter so it looks as if the quarter wraps up underneath the car and the front will match the curve of the tubs. And of course it will have some beads rolled into it. Let me know how it looks or if you think anything should be changed.

Looks good Zach, and will put the battery weight really in the "back". How wide is the box going to be? It looks narrow in the pictures. Should work out good though.

This is what i got off the optima batteries website:
      Yellow:
      Length 10" 9 5/16" 10" 9 5/16" 9 5/16"
      Width 6 7/8" 6 13/16" 6 7/8" 6 13/16" 5 1/16"
      Height 7 13/16" 7 5/8" 7 13/16" 7 5/8" 8 15/16"
      Red:
      Length 10" 9 5/16" 10" 9 5/16" 10"
      Width 6 7/8" 6 13/16" 6 7/8" 6 13/16" 3 9/16"
      Height 7 13/16" 7 5/8" 7 13/16" 7 5/8" 7 13/16"
do not know if the height dimensions include the terminals, but it doesnt really matter right now
