My 67 Camaro Pro Touring Build

Hello everyone my name is Dave i am new to this site but not new to building about every 4 to 5 years i get into a project , the last one was a factory five 33 hot rod and before that it was a 2000 Lamborghini replica with a BMW v-12 and was the most challenging build to date .
i have always wanted to build a camaro but have never ran across one that was in a condition and price i wanted , i found this one here local and decided this is my next build .
i will be adding photos and sharing my build as i go , i have done this with all my projects and find it helps with ideas from others and possibly helping other with ideas .
      so here we go .

when i brought it home .

      starting to take it apart

i built a jig and started the removal of floor / trunk / fender wells and frame rails .

installing new inner rockers , this was before i removed the trunk and frame rails .

      new floor installed

i decided to section my trunk 2-1/2" and move my frame rails in in the back to make them parallel as the factory set them 2" wider in the rear each side .

Wow nice setup with the body support frame. Too bad so much rust, but looks like you're doing it right!

working on the subframe connectors i decided to channel them into the frame rails .

i used 2x2 tubing and had to narrow the back to slide down into the frame rail .

my front subframe and 4 bar set up i got at good guys from checkered racing .

the 4 link set up will require a lot of fab work to get the ride height i want .

cutting and getting ready to channel out the floor for the bars . yes i will not be using a back seat

i did start my roll cage set up it will be a full 12 point cage . i had to add an extra hole to the top of the four bar mounts to keep my bars at no more the 5 degrees down hill .

the front brake set up that came with the subframe i will not be using , i an going with 12 or 13" rotors with wilwood dynalight calipers all the way around .

boxing in the four link bars .

i was going to make a new drive shat tunnel because i had to raise the stock one but i just decided to section the old one .

this is currently where i am at , i have been working on this for about 10 to 12 weeks part time .
i will post more as i go .

working on getting brackets welded on rear end and decided to build my own Watts link and ditch the pan hard bar .

i made the bottom plate bolt on so if i had a problem with the threads i could get into the box if i needed to

i will end up putting bars from the box sides down to the pumpkin housing before i paint .
