      1985 buick regal, b/s question

By chance i am hoping someone on this forum can hook me up! Car is in hiding for the winter but i want to order new rims and tires.
Its 1985 Buick Regal Limited, stock rearend and no frame notch.
      I am going to order the torq thrust 2 wheels, i was thinking 17" 8 wide fronts with 245 45 17, and 17" 9.5 wide rears with 285 40 17.
I have read that not all G Bods are the same, so some one with similar year and make maybe has the numbers i need for back space.
      It currently has 275 60 15 rears and i think 215 65 15 fronts....

On my '87 442, I stuck with the 4.0" BS [same as the factory 15x7s] on the 17x8s up front to kick the fronts out so the outside of the 245/45/17s will line "almost" perfectly with the outside of the rear tires. I have heard this helps "a little" with the tendency to understeer. Out back, I went with 5.25" BS on the 18x9.5s with 275/40/18s just to get the 1" vertical stagger look.

With the tires I am going with [Bridgestone RE-11s], I will have exactly 1" of width stagger from front to rear too "tread on the pavement - 9" front 10" rear". The 5.25" BS places the 9.5" wheels exactly in the center of my 442 wells which places the tire just 1/4" from the frame and from the fender lip. If being that close to the frame makes you nervous then stick with a 5.00BS which gives you 1/2" to the frame but then you'll be right on the fender lip with 275s [I don't want to roll my fenders].

I don't have pics or run data yet [sorry] because the car is still scattered doing all the other suspension and brake mods. Hopefully in a month or so . . .

      Nice car BTW . . .
