Automatic Transmission help - Corvette Transplant

Hi All

Need some help deciphering the C5 / C6 Corvette six speed Automatic transmissions. Hoping that sombody has some experience with Corvette transplants....

This is for my 54 corvette build with C5/C6 suspension, torque tube, transmission and differential in a SRIII chassis.

What I am looking for is the paddle shift version which I believe is the 7CYA.....Yes or No ?

Does the 6CYA have the paddle shift ?

Where does the 1CYA fit into the picture ????

Lastly, does any one know will a C6 6speed automatic transmission bolt to a C5 torque tube and differential?



Thanks for your help as my build is made just that bit harder as I am in Australia with little or no knowledge here on this subject.
