      Heated seat wiring

Has anyone wired in newer heated seats into say a 72 EL Camino? I am installing an AAW Classic update harness and have a set of heated SRT challenger seats and would like to activate the heating feature. I am unsure of the current draw and whether the power for the adjustment of the seat is also used to power the heating element. Ty in advance.

Heaters generally do pull a lot of current. I think I'd at least use a 12 ga. wire to supply.

I just added aftermarket heaters in my Tacoma, they take 10 amp fuses for each seat so the wiring doesn't need to be massive. Look at the circuits for the seat heaters that your seats came out of. That will tell you what the factory fused them at and then you can determine wire size.

Ty for the input fellas. The factory wiring is complex as it involves the body computer. I will get it sorted.
