Electric reverse opening hood kit for Gen1 camaro

Kit is now fully removed from car and ready for shipping out to new home. The only thing I think the buyer would have to obtain/replace is the RF antenna cable (mine was routed up behind the dash and zip tied and I didn't want to pull the whole dash apart to fish it out). The RF receiver box has the "pig tail" connector for the antenna cable so it's just a matter of threading on the new antenna.

I'll start attaching/uploading pictures of pieces as removed... follow link in first post here if you want to see it as installed.

If no interest here on the forum I'll offer it out to eBay in near future.

I understand ... here's the story in full honest detail. Everything was working fine I just wasn't found of the reverse style opening, was dealing with some rewiring in the front of the car (I have another thread out here about rewiring the parking/side marker lights to stay on with the headlights) and decided I just had enough of it... wanted to go back to "normal" opening hood and not have to push/hold a button on a remote fob every time I wanted the hood open.

Winter comes along and the car sits over in winter hibernation in the garage and the battery gets low. I should have just crawled up underneath the front corner of the car to hook up the charger, but stupid me attempted to "help" the hood open by grabbing onto the front of the hood and pulling with my hands (nothing crazy but a steady pull like pulling a shopping cart backwards) while pushing the open button. Well, when I did that I apparently managed to cause the male threaded shaft of the driver side actuator extension arm to come off/out of the female threaded shaft internal to the actuator because all of a sudden the driver side became loose/floppy. I was concerned I had "broke" something and didn't know about the threaded parts of the actuator becoming un-threaded. What I believe happened is that when I pulled lateral/forward force to the hood the actuator continued to spin, but it "spun out" the actuator arm.

After I had the hood off I charged the batter up before removing the rest of the actuator pieces, etc. and I found the actuator was still spinning just fine. So I then reattached the extension arm (now off the hood) by manually threading it back in a few turns and the actuator spins it in/out same as the other side. But at that point I had already decided I was removing everything so that's where I'm at now.

So I don't believe anything is wrong with any of the components, and I'm asking less than half of what everything is new in case I'm wrong for any reason and someone has to replace a part (the complete actuator arm assembly is available for purchase from manufacturer of the kit and runs around $250 from what I can tell).

If someone wants this on their perfect "show car" then I guess spending the full $1800 is maybe the best advice? ... if someone wants to try a trick kit for less than half of what it is new with all the brackets, etc. that are fully funtional for a Gen1 camaro then it seems like this is a cheaper way to go in my opinion.

But ultimately the decision is yours and the above information helps you make your decision, as I'm being completely honest/straightforward.

That's my understanding as well yes... the brackets are unique to make them "bolt and go" into stock holes.
