Fuel and brake line bulkhead passthrough

I need to get the fuel and brake lines through the back floor pan on my 2nd gen f-body. I will not have a back seat and the car is mostly built so this is a last minute change. My ideas was to take a 19" 3/4 pipe on each side and pass it though the floor, securing it with nuts on both sides of each entry and exit point. I'd use some sort of sealing washer as well. Alternatively I could weld it from the inside or outside as it passed through, though it might not look as clean as option 1. MY plan was to then route the lines through the pipes, keeping them out the cockpit in this manner.

Are there any disadvantages to doing this?

By no means should you ever run fuel lines into the passenger compartment.
      If I read it correctly.

You should also never run tubing through a pipe. You will never be able to easily inspect it or replace it. Always install tubing so it can be easily removed and is tight to the floor pan in a place where it can't get crushed. in some cases you can put a pass through bulkhead connection through the frame up to 3 to 4 inches with AN fittings on both sides. These bulkheads are made specifically for the purpose.

Doing what we do you should always be inspecting you fuel and brake lines.

No. I was going to run a pipe through the bottom of the floorboard verses channeling it. I'll just channel it with some tubing and be done with it. Only a 19" section.
