69 F Body Power Seat Convertion

Another costly and time consuming idea. Anyone successfully adapt a power seat assembly to first gen seats ? I can't imagine I'm the first to consider this option. Any input would be appreciated.

I actually purchased a set of GTO seats to do this too. But they were too large for my fold down rear seat. The best fit that I have seen done is with BMW convertible seats

You can easily adapt a set of 4th gens (93-02 F-body) seats. The front holes line up and and the rears mounts can either be cut/rewelded or make an adapter bracket to line everything up like I did. I used a set of 93-02 firebird seats haven't had any issues in almost 10 years with them. Wiring them is easy, just use an ign source from the fuse block (with an inline fuse wired in) and one the front mounts as your ground point. I made some adapter brackets out of 3/8" steel plate (purchased from Lowes) and grade 8 bolts to mount in between the 4th gen seat mount and the first gen hole in the floor pan. I can send you some pics if you want.
