Ok. I'm looking for some good advice on an Auto Trans for my build. I am at the point where i am trying to get the big ticket items sorted and need to make some decisions on the tranny. I have chosen a 427 dart block engine build with the emphasis on being a street car so the power will be in the 2500-6000 rpm range at around 550ish peak and as much torque as i can get.My question is what third member ratio would be good? I was thinking 3:5/1 to 3:7/1 Strang lsd. Also what transmission package, C4, C6 or an AOD with overdrive. Any other suggestions would be great. I can put these things in once built i need help on the bits and pieces. I would even consider a late model auto while i am at this stage of the build.Thanks for any help.Craig.
