      valve cover baffles

      can i run my car on the street with valve covers that don't have baffles?thanks sean

      Sean,

      You could use a baffled grommet like MR GASKET part no.5425 which fits most popular breathers.If you check the catalog,I'm sure you will find one that fits PCV valves as well thats if you are using a PCV. If you use a regular grommet on the breathers(without baffling)chances are the breathers will saturate with oil and leak or worse if you use a PCV the engine will suck up all that oil splash and detonate to death.If you need to make holes in the covers for either breathers or PCV,be sure you do them where no rockers have line of sight with the holes.Also,if you are using girdles they may act as a deflection sheeld depending on their design.This will allow you to not use any baffling.
