Two-Tone Paint Photochop??

Hey all,
After seeing some great two-tone jobs (like Bill's black-over-silver Malibu, and Datsbad's silver-over-white Chevelle) I wonder how my car would look keeping the white up top, but doing the lower half (below the beltline on the door say) either silver or a dark charcoal metallic. I'm also thinking a single red pinstripe between the colors to set it off, since it'll match the red around the SS emblems.

Can someone do that for me? Here's a few shots of the car.

Nice work Tony! The slammed stance in the 2nd pic, along with the shaved door handles and wilder paint scheme looks damn good! Ah, if only the $$ were there for such a paintjob.

I'm convinced of one thing! That car needs a two tone paint job. Once you commit to that the rest is gravy. You don't need money. If you wait until you have cash, the car will never get done. LOL

I'm really liking Tony L's first chop, with the dark gray on just the lower part of the car. All of my students that have seen the chopped pic say "DO IT!" I just need to convince my wife the car will look as good in person as it does in the chop.

My choice of dark gray is either Audi's "Dolphin Gray" or BMW's "Sparkling Graphite Metallic." Either one will contrast nicely with the white and burgundy interior, and will be easy to find touchup paint for.

What are your thoughts?

I like Tonys first one also. It will always stay in style. Color is a subjective thing. What ever works for you! I would have the painter do a sample plate of a couple different colors for you that can be put up to the car. A paint chip is hard to go by.

Good point. I'm going to talk to one of the local shops this week and get some info on pricing. I've been thinking this is a good time to do the two-tone, since I need to have my new front fascia painted anyway.The one that is currently on the car is torn at the bottom.
