      changing fly wheel

Hey guys, I am swapping the flywheel on my crate LS3 to a LS7 flywheel. is it as easy as removing the 6 bolts and swapping them? Is there anything that needs to be aligned or anyhting like that? I got new ARP bolts for the LS7 flywheel do they get some locktite or something? also I ready 74ft/lb tourque for the bolts does that sound right? any help would be much appreciated.
      Thanks
      Paul

I'm pretty certain the flywheel is centered on the crank snout. I swapped flex plates between 2 5.3's, and other than lining up the bolt holes there is nothing else to do. I'd use locktite on the bolts. Last thing you want to have is flywheel bolts coming off while the engine is running.

Its very straight forward, you probably want to invest in a flywheel locking tool, you may need a clutch aligment tool too if you don't have one. There is a guys that sells them via LS1tech and Facebook. Many people work around those, but they are cheap and make life easier.
