Deleting both sets of O2 sensors?
Is there any reason to keep both front and rear O2 sensors?

Yes, I do. But...long story short... Normally, I would delete the rear O2 and keep the fronts with a maf tune. A sand rail guy was trying to convince me that a speed density tune with no O2 sensors was better. I didn't know if something brand new had come out for the Ls motor that I didn't know.

Define "better." If you want the ECU to function in closed loop, the you need the pre cat O2 sensors.

Better... I don't know what he meant by better.
I feel that maf and front O2 sensors will work just fine.

I think the speed density has the advantage of not having to buy 2 ea 02 sensors & worry about them going bad, same for maf. Other than that ,speed density lacks the fine tuning on the spot capabilities of a closed loop system & is more reliant on the MAP sensor for any input.
Speed density may be better for an off road sandrail that sits up more than it gets used & doesn't have to run as perfect, not for the street.
NOTHING new here, speed density was first in most early efi systems, or used for a little while before being discontinued by factory. Also easier for some to aftermarket tune.
