      Project DNA

This is a project we are fixing. It was taken to another shop years ago and we are finally getting around to fixing the inferior work by this other shop code name PC. This was a $140,000 build gone wrong. We now have the honor of fixing it for the customer !

The car was a rusty mess. Also someone destroyed a lot of the car with an air chisel. The door jams had 3/4 of an inch of bondo etc. We are just going to replace about everything.

Here is all we were able to save from the original car ! This is why I dubbed it project DNA !

Wow. That kind of work is what worries me about project cars. It's also pretty common from what I've seen. I work on quite a few classic cars and quite typically, if you can see it it looks OK, but under dash, behind door panels, trunk floors and inside the quarter panels are usually untouched. Glad to see you guys doing it right.

I can see wanting to save the VIN but wouldn't it make more sense to start with a new body?
The rule is measure twice and cut once. My problem is I still measure with a mic and cut with an axe!

Excellent work done by an Honest shop if they were all done like that they could be handed the down for many generations it's a real shame the way some shops take advantage with exorbitant prices and very shoddy work. Great job

I have to ask. Why bother taking it so far? The cost involved would be outrageous versus starting with something new or in better condition.
