      Shipping car body?

Have a 67 nova body (firewall back)about 500 miles away from me in my parents garage couldn't afford to move it when I moved (2ys ago)but looking to get it too my house to start working on it this winter. Moving my self would cost at least $700 with trailer rental gas tolls. Doesn't include my time and ware on the truck. It's on a Dollie so it moves easy. Anyone have any experience with something like this? looking for a cheaper methods if possible? Maybe pod move? Thanks

I just used Direct Express Auto Transport to ship a car from Wisconsin to North Carolina. Its the second time I have used them and I know they will ship cars that do not run so they may be willing to ship the body if it rolls. They charged me $575.00 to ship a running 1969 Camaro from Illinois to North Carolina and the 2013 Camaro I just had shipped from Wisconsin was $820.00. I opted for the expedite shipping for the 2013 so it was about $70.00 more that the regular open trailer shipping. Hope this helps.

call up a couple of local tow services and see if they will flat bed it for you. A few years back I had my '55 body picked up and taken to the shop (400 miles away). Agreed with the tow service at $500

Just went thru this with my heap.
I made a dollie, basically a glorified 2x6 pallet, bolted shell of car to that.
Next part was the fun...had a local flatbed service load car/pallet into a rental box truck.
Screwed the pallet to the floor of the box truck...drove 200miles to chassis shop...off loaded with large forklift.
Truck rental with gas, about $300 and $100 for flatbed(to move 20ft).
If you go box truck, Budget is only company with a real wood floor capable of fastening to. None of them have tie-down provisions.
Had to go to chassis shop anyway, so worth the days travel...cost for a flatbed or trailer was over $700.
Zero issues with move...even bouncing around in a worn-out truck for 4hrs.
      Good luck.

I may try UShip or even a pod as car is on a body Dollie, and it's just a shell pretty light. Really looking for a cheaper alternative to hauling my self if possible? I appricate all input keep the comments or suggestions coming.
