New from Alabama
Hi, I'm new to the website. I was happy to see there is a site devoted to building Pro-Touring cars. I have two projects. My main project is a 1969 Firebird. At one time it had a 1972 455 with the XH288 cam from Comp cams. I was running 7FS Round Port Heads, Ported by Jim Butler, a Performer RPM Intake, Long tube headers, a Holley 750 carb, 3 inch mandrel exhaust with an X Pipe and 2.5 inch mandrel tail pipes.. I had a Stage III Bowtie Over Drive 700R4 and a Chevrolet 10Bolt 3.08 Posi rear end. I few years ago I sold the complete powertrain and have been working to put a 5.3/4L60E in it's place. We were moving along doing it as a turbo set up and ran into some snags and ditched the turbo and are now doing the LSA set up instead.
I'll try and post some pictures later.
