      SEMA Builds

I have a few questions about sema builds. Do they start out as sema builds? Or is it just a situation where maybe a sponsor really likes a build and wants to throw it in a booth? I'm just asking because it's definitely an item on my bucket list.

Most cars are built by reputable builders, and are expected to debut new builds there every year, like Roadster Shop, Troy, Steve Strope, etc, and vendors I imagine fight for the honor of displaying their cars in their booths (obviously many of these vendors already have sponsor ties with the builder). There is a smaller, but definite number of cars that are probably seen by the vendors during construction, and brought in due to the quality or style of the build, even though it might not be built by a big name.
