      Anyone with a f body t56 ls1 rebuildable core in the louisville ky or southern Indiana area?

      If you plan on upgrading the trans such as a bigger output shaft, you might find it cheaper in the long run to buy a new magnum. Plus buying a core is a crap shoot. Btdt

      In any situation I feel a magnum is the way to go. Used T56s seems to have a high used market. I have seen many 80k+ mile T56s for $2000 and up. Once you upgrade it, rebuild it...you're at magnum price. Buy a core, replace a chipped gear or two, upgrade it, rebuild it...Magnum price again. The used market just isn't a buyer market. Much like used LS engines..

      I totally understand what you are saying but I can't fork out 3k for the transmission and however much for the matching bellhousing since it's a unique bolt patter. So I found a rebuildable core for $300 shipped that I can take my time building to suite
