      Best Compliment so far...

Finally, finally finally got the Firebird on the road. Took my wife, son and his buddy out to the local icecream shack. Went slow down my street, pulled out on the highway and put the pedal down a bit. Got a look of death from my wife while my son in the back says this thing is like a time machine and his buddy says "No its like a rocket!" Good stuff. Thought I would share. Then someone asked if it was a 442 and was told his buddy has one just like it with $30000 in the engine. What's the best compliment you've had so far?

"Oh, man! Smokey and the Bandit!" when referring to my 79 Firebird T/A. If I had a nickel for every time I heard that I could actually afford to paint it. :p
I think the nicest thing I've gotten, though, is a couple of guys were talking to each other about it while I was pumping gas and I overheard one say "Yea...and it sounds awesome." It's a small compliment to some, sure, but I'm always thankful for a compliment no matter what it may be.
