      Hydroboost Setup w/disc brakes

Retrofitting a 56 Panel with hydroboost and 4-wheel disc brakes (probably wouldn't call it a PT build but fr a performance point of view I think this is the right forum). I've seen some discussion that perhaps one wants to run a little larger m/c bore than otherwise to "modulate" the hydroboost - maybe something on the order of 1" rather than 7/8"? Also, what determines the travel distance of the HB pedal rod - is the m/c the limiting factor? Trying to determine what length I need to setup the brake arm connection. Thanks. -Bob

I think 1 1/8(1.125) is the recommended bore size for 4 whl disc with Hydroboost. That is what Hydratech sells with their kits and what is seen used most often by members here when building their own. Pedal rod length I'm not sure about. When i was going to use the hydroboost, the rod was too long. I had to cut mine, thread it and use a coupling nut for a clevis and pin to connect to my pedal in the factory position.
      Big dreams, small pockets....
