That helmet pic. is classic Reminds me of last summer when I saw 2 Asian Indian fellas pedaling their Mt. bikes down the road with helmets on backwards. I almost drove off the road from laughing so hard.

      Okay..
I have to share a little driving story about my wife and her mother.
(Quick look over both shoulders to make sure the wifey isn't around)
My wife and her mom were having lunch @ Ruby Tuesday's.
After lunch they were going to the mall for a little shopping.
They both went outside and got into their respective vehicles.
(Which by the way they both drive big white SUV"S)
My wife was parked on the East side of the restaurant and her mom was parked on the West side.
      Guess what happened next??
      BAM!!
They ran into each other in the parking lot behind the restaurant!
$4500 in damages.. Same insurance agent..Visualize that phone call..
As you can imagine I have gotten a lot of mileage out of this story.

I once saw a car propped up on a rock like the picture Dennis showed, except the rock was about 3ft tall. It was mind boggling that someone actually got a car up it.

Kinda my fault in a way but the following proves to me that women (or most VA drivers for that matter) dont use their rear view mirrors.

While out in the garage working the wife walks by the open garage door to her vehicle for a trip to the store and mentions I still havent checked the spare tire to see if it has enough (or any) air in like Ive been promising to do for weeks. Since Im at a stopping point I tell her to back over in front of the garage so I can crawl under the back and check the spare. Once she has backed the truck up to the garage opening I hang my trouble light off the back bumper so I can see what Im doing since its getting dark and there isnt enough room to actually get the truck inside the garage.

I while Im checking the spare the wife gets out and stands at the back of the truck to supervise (guess she thought I was going to take a nap  ) and once the spare is deemed inflated I go back to what I was doing in the garage and she leaves for the grocery store. As shes pulling away I hear an unfamiliar and usettling sound from behind me so I turned around just in time to see the self retracting trouble lights cord come to the end of the spool and get yanked off the wall and go whizzing out the garage door at ~15mph. Considering the cord is pretty long and the wife was far enough away, windows up, playing the stereo, fiddling with the HVAC controls, etc that she couldnt hear or see my out of shape 275lb self run out of the garage with arms flailing and yelling in an attempt to get her to stop she was gone in no time...drop light and all.

The thought of chasing her on foot is out of the question since we live in a rural area and she drives more like a maniac than I do (not to mentinon Im in no shape to outrun anything let alone a vehicle) so the next thought is a cell phone call to which I get her voice mail. Next thought is grabbing one of our other vehicles and chase her down but the only thing available at the moment is our tow vehicle and its hooked to the trailer which is loaded with another car. Trying to chase her down on a two lane country road at a high rate of speed while towing ~7klbs isnt my idea of a smart move.

To make a long story short I figured the cheap hook on the light would quickly let go of the bumper and the light, cord, and cord reel would end up in the ditch not far from the house. To my amazement when she returned the light was still hanging on the rear bumper along with ~15ft of the cord but the reel was long gone (yes, we back tracked and looked for it).

I asked her if she had seen anything in the rear view mirror to let her know that something was wrong but she said that she didnt notice anything (you have to actually look in the rear view mirror for that to happen....least I thought that) but she wondered why ppl that were behind her had flashed their lights.

Ugh.. while I take a portion of the blame for that incident to this day if you ask her its all my fault..... Hell, Im just glad it was a cheap drop light that was hooked on the back bumper and not my belt, pant leg, or shoe lace!!!

The helmet thing is so common with parents and kids, I see them on backwards, ridiculously oversized so its rocking or undersized like a yarmuka.

A little off topic but a bunch of my friends were getting ready for a mountain bike and we gave the new guy a motorcycle fender to put on as a helmet. It was a gsxr fender, it came down around his ears and and had a big point on top. He really thought it was a helmet and was standing around talking with it on. You had to be there but it was funny.

Also, on bad driving, I love when you see someone stuck in the snow and they have the motor redlined with the wheels going 170 mph!

Or when someone has a fender bender on a busy highway and stands there discussing it like there in a parking lot.

my son and I were at a go cart track last year and where they flag you in off the track there are 2 lanes to drive the carts down with a concrete devider between and this teenaged girl came wheeling in there and she couldnt decide which lane to go down and she swerved back and forth twice then planted the cart square into the divider between the two lanes. We looked at each other and laughed so hard we cried!

Oh man, I love this. Especially when they're blocking two lanes of traffic.

OMG as I'm reading this thread a lady comes in to ask about her alarm remote - apparently it just stopped working. (turns out she has had it 4 years and never changed the battery) so with that fixed she asks about dooredge guard. Earlier today she was getting into her car ,and when she sat down her door swang out and hit the truck parked beside her. She tells me that the guy that owned the truck started at yelling at her because she scratched his truck. "He had no right to yell at me, my paint got chipped when it hit his truck". Then she said that she got his plate# and if he confronts her again should sue him for "mental distress". I just looked at her and said "some people are just morons, and shouldn't be allowed out in public" (but I wasn't refering to the guy with the truck)

      I hate people

      you in Cali?

On the snow deal, when they got the pedal crammed down and it is not moving, so they throw it in reverse and back and forth. Making all kinds of racket all the while! As the tranny self distructs!

My sister got her early 80's civic high centered on a parking block and did'nt know it. Then there was the festiva that jumped a 8" curb it took a rather large pry bar to bend the suspension parts enough to make it roll on my trailer. Needless she's one of my best customers theres alot more stupid acts these were just the most memorable.

My friend just did that with his Monte carlo in his own yard. He thought he was up on the curb a little so he floored it (383 stroker with over 400hp) he popped the car up on the rock. Then when he realized it was a rock he slamed it in reverse and foored it again. Destroyed the header on passenger side and some of the body.
