No... it means BFG operates a side business doing race tires (they consider the Rival to be a race tire), that doesn't use the same corporate structure as the mainstream products.
Probably (95% sure) not built in the same plants, either.

Goodyear do the same thing with their race tire line.
Michelin have offerings not shown to their main dealers.



Pirelli do the same thing with their rally line of tires.

Any suggestion on where to look?? Tire Rack has limited Rival S's...not my size and zero Rivals for the near future.
Nitto's I think are sold thru Summit and the NT01's come in a good selection...just wanted a full treaded tire.

I sent a message to a BFG Race Tire dealer...hopefully they can give some answers.
One of the places said a production time of Aug. 2016.

Well, good news...I think.
According to Kim @ Phil's they are both available...new production dates.
She will confirm tomorrow.
Not bad for a answer on Sun afternoon.

Inquiry was for 295's and 335's in 18".

Phil's says they are available...coming from Alabama.
It was funny, the other BFG Race Dealer said not good and back ordered.
Anyway, looks promising...if only chassis shop would get to point of ordering the wheels so I know for sure on tires.
I will update when tires are in hand.
