      RRS suspension

I have a 62 comet i am want to make handle. i wont be racing or anything, just wanting good fun driver. I am keeping the 6 cylinder in in with a lot of mods. I have been looking at suspension systems and most are built for the mustang(similiar platform but enough differences that they dont interchange). there is a australian company called rrs that have bolt in suspension kits for my car. ant their prices are reasonable. does anyone know if they are any good. ie. reliable as a company, reliable product, with good design.

The trouble with strut-based front suspension on muscle cars is that they rarely have enough camber gain. The baseline setting has to be set with a relatively high amount of negative static camber so that it has an appropriate amount of camber under full compression. Otherwise the front tires start to lose grip and the car will push under hard driving conditions. This is why purpose-built, all-out performance cars have double a-arm/SLA front suspension configurations; it helps keep the tire flatter on the ground during full suspension travel.

We have a full front suspension system that fits the Falcon and can be installed in a weekend with common tools. We also make a rack and pinion steering conversion. It is the ONLY rack out there that was designed from scratch specifically for the early Ford/Mercury cars. Track proven, daily driven, and easy to install. There's a bunch of info on our site.
