      sell my projects??

      I have a dilema....

last weekend I took my 83 Spec RX-7 to an SCCA drivers school...to get my regional license. WOW!!! How much fun is that car??!! here is my dilemma...my 88 monte SS is my favorite car...but it is just getting worse rather than better. So im thinking about selling that car...along with my 59 apache...and puting the money into my rx7 race car. Ive never had that much fun in my life...and I just cant afford to keep these cars!!

do you all think i should sell my car...and in a couple years...buy another monte to build up...or keep this one? The one I have now needs a lot of work..paint...rust damage..all new body mounts (i mean all new metal welded to even hold the mounts)...basically it needs a frame off.

just get another job...it is fun though isn't it! once you sell them its hard to get the burn to get them back. If its rusty might as well get rid of it.

How long have you had them for? It you've had them for over 2 years and they are still rust buckets needing a frame off then you're probably not going to finish them anytime soon.

Sell and move on the the RX.

Do whatever makes you happy, but make sure that you're fully content with your decision before you act, or you might regret it for a long time. You wouldn't want it to turn into one of those "if only I could have that car back" stories that you always hear from people who had bad a** muscle cars that sold them in the 70's because of gas prices, emissions, etc. I'm not saying that your '88 Monte is the same as a rare '69 or '70 muscle car, but sentimental value can't be replaced. Remember, it's not the car that's important, it's the feelings you have because of what the car does for you. My .02

Clean montes without rust are affordable , sell what you got and race for a while. Keep an eye out for a rust free car, you will find one for a good price if you are patient.
