      More ridetech hurtles

I'm putting a ridetech level 2 air ride kit in my 68 firebird with a ford 9 inch rear from quick performance. So I got the upper cradle, pinion angle set and tabs welded on to my 9 inch rear and everything tightened up. Now the filler on my rear end is hitting the cradle before the internal bump stops in the air bags are being hit. I was wondering if I would be able to put a dimple in the cradle to make it fit or is that a bad idea? Thanks for the help.

If you can take a piece out and plate it back in and make it structural again then I'd see no problem.
CamaroJesse on here had the same problem recently, maybe you can find his thread, not sure what he ended up doing.

Also, put a little air in the air springs so they roll down over the shock.
If you put weight on the vehicle as pictured you take the risk of pinching the air spring between the upper cap and the shock body, which will immediately put a hole in the air spring.

Ah thanks for the heads up! I actually let the rear back down and have it sitting on jack stands right now with the bags back at ride height.
