      I Got Anew Project

and im going to call it project rusty sucker. ive been watching this car all summer. so the other day the owner was outside i thought what the heck ill stop and ask him if he wants to sell. he said ya he was just waiting until he could get it started so he could put it on ebay. i didnt know it was a running car. so i asked him what he wanted for it and when he said he wanted 1000.00 i said ill take it. mind you i haddent even looked at it yet lol. i said well let go look at it we walked over and i looked under the car over all didnt look to bad it will need floors and trunk all the normal midwest stuff. it also has a muncie 4 speed not sure what it is yet got to clean all the grease off it. also has the headlight squirters did thay all have this option. it has a 350 motor . i didnt think i could go wrong for a grand.

Killer deal!! Did the guy try to use it as a boat?!?!?! I guess being a west coast guy I have no idea about that much rust. Yes, they came with those squirters.

The wiper motors are specific to a 69 RS because of the headlight washers. The solenoid and pump if working are worth $500-$700 on ebay alone. It is glad to know those deals can still be had if you look hard enough.

That is an amazing deal! A shop about 20 miles from my house had the completely rusted out shell of a '69 that would've needed every panel you could buy (literally), and they wanted $4500 for it!! As someone above mentioned, with the headlight setup, running motor, transmission, shell, etc., I doubt you'd have much trouble parting that thing out for at least 3 times what you paid for it, if not significantly more. But it would make a cool project too.

i just saw a wiper motor go off ebay at 780.00. i pulled all the trim around the windows today.the trim is almost perfect and the best thing is there is very little rust in window areas only two small holes at the top of windsheild. all the clip knobs are still there.somebody siliconed around all the trim i guess that kept most or the water out. its going to take a lot of work and i dont have to get it done any time soon. so ill just see how it gos. i can always sell it and get my money back.lol
