      Thoughts on these retaining plate?

I know this crowed has more experience with 9" fords. What do you think about these moser retaining plates. They appear the drill slipped and didn't make a symmetric hole. Notice how the edge on one side of the hole is fillet like. I feel there defective, but Moser doesnt see what I'm talking about.

First off, those holes were punched not drilled. Because both holes look identical, it would appear they were punched oblong on purpose. I suspect they are made that way to allow for slight adjustment during installation. Personally, I don't think you have a problem.

Steve, I guess you need to see these in person to see what I'm referring too. The oval holes are for 2 different patterns, but the chamfer isn't right because all the holes are not like that and the way it is, the holes are shaped like a funnel. i just ended up buying another set from a different store to see if they are the same.

i have a set here. Where do you live?

The top part of them that is connect are straight on holes but the bottom holes where the plate opening are the bottom of the hole is angled. Its like that on both plates.

Looking at the pictures mine looks exactly like yours. The top and bottom holes are punched differently. Yours are fine
