Paint chips. hahahaha

So im wet sanding my clear coat and the metal tip on my sprayer chips my paint. Its a very small chip, but I'm wondering if it is usually so easy to chip before sealing waxing and clear filming it? This is my first paint job so ill take all the advise i can get.
