      spark plug and gap

I am running a 496 BBC. It is a 10:1 compression 230/236 515/525 lift comp roller cam, old style ported and large valve closed chambered heads . I have a tunnel ram [ with 2 holly throttle bodies] modified for individual fuel injectors for each cylinder and controlled by a Holly HP EFI. 5 speed TKO and a Ford 9" with 3:50 gears and 25.5 tall tires[275/30ZR19]. The car is a 66 Lemans convert that is a street cruiser.
I am now running R44XLS plug and I just changed the gap to .045. Opinions would be helpful as I think I need to close the gap back to .035.

Hey man, I have the holley hp on a big block with 6 speed so similar. Cool setup man! Mine is a daily (stuffing in a 598" now actually lol). Anyways I've been having the same debate because no one has my set up that I can find. From what I can tell it depends on your heads and your ignition (I run ls coils sequentially). Classic guys seem to run .35, coil guys run .45-.55. The bigger the flame without getting too weak is the best so idk I run .45. With this new healthy motor I'll keep you posted as I'll read the plugs better. Hope that helps a little!
