      Name this terminal ...

Ok I need some help. I'm looking for a terminal that you could use in the place of a ring terminal. Instead of sliding the ring terminal over the threaded stud and securing with a nut. This terminal simply slides over the threaded stud and is held in place by some fingers or something that holds in on the threaded stud. I've seen them used on coils sometime. I have other options for my need but this type of terminal would make things simpler. I called and talked to terminal supply but we couldn't find what I was looking for. Maybe not using the proper terminology. So any help would be appreciated.

Star washer + ring terminal = star terminal
Is that what you're looking for?

What is it for? The oem used those terminals on sending units and some brake light switches. For anything carrying more amperage than that, it is not a very good connection.

Yea I did some research and have decided to use another option that will give me a good connection and still allow for a quick disconnect. Thanks.

I think the type of terminal you are talking about is called a spade terminal which is like a ring terminal but has a fork instead of a ring.

I was actually looking for something like this. It simply slips over a threaded post.
