AAW Questions/Electrical Gurus(long post,big pics..sorry)

hey everyone I want to first apologize for this long post but have a few questions which may sound dumb but want to make sure before I finish up this install..

I got the full AAW classic update kit for my 72 Camaro and in the middle of doing the engine/headlight wiring section of the kit.. there is some wires I wont need(horn,heater,ac,wipers) so ill tuck them away or just remove from the kit and for most part rest of the kit is straight forward...

ALTERNATOR:
After removing the old butchered engine harness I found that my alternator has a different connector then what AAW supplies. I will remove the connector and use the one that fits in the alternator

since I have a 1 wire alternator I do not need to use this brown wire correct?






STARTER:
Continuing on with my butchered harness it has 2 of the same color wires going to the starter(which I believe somebody made both the same) one going to the BAT stud and the other was clipped onto this lil side terminal which I believe is the S terminal according to the diagram?




now the instructions state to add the 2 supplied cables in the kit to the BAT stud which seems easy enough, is the purple wire in the diagram going to the small S terminal circled in the previous picture? and the part in this pic I scribbled out I am not to use as this is used for a points ignition?




VSS:
I have a LT1 style T-56 and have a 2 wire VSS connector I'm going to plug into the trans.. now on the instructions it wants me to use 3 wires total.. any input on this?





IGNITION:
I have a MSD 6AL box and I have the MSD blaster SS which has a -/+ on it. the blaster is connected to the 6AL, the AAW diagram wants me to plug these wires in somewhere for what I believe is tach and ignition? if so where should these go?



and lastly I can wire the 12v IGN source from the MSD to a open 12v IGN on the fuse box?
