I am looking at buying a 68 Camaro, I am curious of the types of banks you borrow from that will loan 20k on 40+ year old car

I used Pentagon Federal Credit Union a few years ago. Was able to get a longer term loan at a really good rate (2.9% IIRC). They did require that I had to have a credit score of 750 or above to secure the loan.

Most credit unions will give you a personal loan depending on credit score, income to debt etc.

My personal loan at my bank credit union is 7.75 and a used car loan is 4.75 for 60 months, curious what was out there . I am looking into lightsream which is a branch of suntrust. 72 months for 3.49-4.49, depending on credit which is excellent

JJ best banc and co. I bought my 69 Camaro using them to finance a portion of the purchase price. They then sold it to commerce bank and trust. Decent rates too.

I am thinking of growing with lightstream, I can have my money in 2 days 60 month @ 1.99 APR. best thing is they give you the money that way you go home with the title when you buy it

My local credit union gave me one for my 68 Impala at 1.99%. The only drawback was they needed an appraisal but was well worth it.

Any body used lightstream that is advertised here and on the web? On a different note, the guy I am buying it from called me and told me there is a noise in the engine. So he got the go ahead from the owner to tear it apart and start over on his dime. So looks as if I am getting a fresh engine. My wife drove it the other day and could not stop smiling. She had never been in a classic car before.

I used lightstream to buy my 68 camaro. Sent them pictures of the car to justify. Borrowed 22k, paid the balance. Super easy transaction. I will use them again for sure.
