Newbie to the Muscle World - 67 Firechicken/camaro build

      Hi Guys ,

my name is Marc Ringuette, Im from NB Canada. I'm relatively new to the muscle world, but definitely have a few solid import builds under my belt with a touch of muscle!

      Some Previous muscle related projects

      2001 Honda S2000 LS

1998 Skyline R34, LS with 370z tranny and gt500 supercharger

i've been wanting to build a first gen camaro for a while, but couldn't seem to get my hands on one. last week i went and looked at several camaros but they were either complete thrash or no papers. I then found a 67 Firebird (hate the front end on the birds, was never something i liked... but i saw the opportunity to switch it to a camaro)

      and there she is
a 1 owner car , 1967 , hasnt seen the road in over 17 years. not long before it was stored the engine was replaced to a fresh pontiac 350 1970 with some mods.

right when i got home, i had to take the grinder to it to see what the quarters looked like underneat the bondo

removed the vinyl top and stripped the car

and now she sits like this till new parts come in!

      Plans
Low, 6l LS , BOOST and a few custom made parts

ive got pretty much a full brand new body on the way at this time.

Welcome, I too have never been much of a fan of the firebird nose (probably why I opted for a 1st gen camaro instead too haha). I'm sure you'll disgust quite a few Firebird purists at shows when they realize it used to be a firebird haha, but the nice thing about this forum is that almost everyone here is more concerned about performance than whether or not the numbers match or if it's all original.

M'eh...it your car, do what you want. I too didn't like the Firebird nose. You might take a look at what I did to my '68.
